Licensed Massage Therapist
Kate Gerity, LMT is a Licensed Massage Therapist, in practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon since 2012. She graduated from the Oregon School of Massage in 2012, after winding up a 20+ year management career in educational software and healthcare.
Kate focuses her practice on therapeutic, medical and relaxation massage, using a blend of techniques customized to each client session. A native of Oregon, she graduated with a BA from Stanford University in the 1970’s. Since then, she has added extensively to her studies in the fields of management, psychology, bodywork, meditation, tai chi, qi gong, natural foods, art and writing. Plus she loves cats.
Kate came to the practice of Massage via Energy Work when she happened to take some classes in Healing Touch, offered by the Holistic Nurses Association. As a corporate VP and manager, she regularly sought out massage, energy work, acupuncture and naturopathy to balance the effects of stress in the work environment.
Later, she became a full-time body worker herself. For Kate, doing massage is a perfect blend of artistry with health sciences. “I love that I’m included in each client’s personal health journey, as we strive to balance body, mind and spirit through massage.”
