All About Kids
Children play hard and may have many tumbles from biking, skateboarding, roller-skating, gymnastics and sports. Teens can suffer growing pains (knee and leg pain).
Young athletes can get clobbered on the sports field. And what about those heavy backpacks stuffed with books and equipment that kids heft and carry routinely?
All of these normal childhood activities can cause minor injuries that can lead to chronic instability as your child matures. If untreated, these injuries can become underlying patterns for chronic pain or susceptibility to injury. Early treatment can prevent chronic pain and inflammation from setting in.
A father himself, Dr. McDonald puts kids and teens at ease right away. His adjustments are non-traumatic and safe enough for kids of all ages to receive. There’s no forceful scary snapping or cracking of their bodies. A parent may, of course, accompany a young patient in the treatment room.
Says one soccer mom:
‘My 14-year old son was very reluctant to get adjusted because he had been hurt by a chiropractor. After much coaxing, he finally allowed Dr. McDonald to treat him. Now my son asks for me to make appointments when he needs them. He knows he’ll feel better fast and be able to play his sports.’ Susan S.
